Creativity & Innovation

Development

We worked intensively with a major power and automation technologies company. The regional manager of the Levant area wanted to improve his managers’ performance in internal meetings, communication and market assessment, as they were long and ineffective. We conducted a series of workshops in Creativity & Innovation for the managers. After the workshops the managers started to use the tools learned during their meetings. According to the regional manager this cut decision-making time by an astounding 60%.

We facilitated many meetings for the company around the region for more than 10 years between the year 2001 and 2010. In one of the meetings we facilitated, focused on penetrating a hard entry market, the management was able to find alternatives to enter this market and create profit. Only two years after this meeting the company’s profit from this market soared to $60 million.

Government Competency

Development

We were responsible for designing and delivering the Innovation Module in the Excellence Diploma Program organized by the Prime Minister’s Office at the American University of Sharjah (AUS) for the government employees. We spared no effort in both preparing the material and delivering the contents. Superior evaluations were received on the wealth of knowledge and the ability to share that knowledge with them. Quoting one student comment after the course: "Dina had taken me to the place where I always wanted to go!”

To date we continue to teach the Innovation Module at AUS, and are involved in numerous Dubai Government Excellence programs.

Professional Women

Development

As part of the socio-economic transformation in Saudi Arabia, Saudi women are taking a more active part in public and corporate life. We at Creativity & Beyond had trained and coached Saudi women from different arenas, head departments from ministries, businesswomen, and women in education. It was remarkable to witness that half of the ladies attending the workshops, especially entrepreneurs were attending out of their own personal interest and not sponsored by employers. Highlighting their keen interest in their development and of their economy. During the workshops the participants were able to come up with ideas and solutions to various real issues that they committed to pursue and implement back in their own work and life. Following up on the development in Saudi national work environment, the change is happening, and the impact of professional Saudi women is getting stronger.

Leadership Development

As part of Dina’s doctoral studies, a research in the area of the effectiveness of leading through coaching was conducted. To explore the effectiveness of this theory, Dina worked with a primary teacher from an international school who was a candidate for a leadership position. The coaching helped the teacher to build new ‘wiring’ through reflective thinking and new insights gained. The teacher indicated that coaching had helped him to be more reflective, mindful and emotionally intelligent, in his words: ‘coaching kept me on my toes’.

Currently, we run coaching sessions for schools’ leadership, teachers and students focused on behavioural development and leadership skills.

Executive Coaching
and Mentoring

After a severe car accident in Dec. 2015, the client was left with a broken neck, and went through a delicate operation and months of physiotherapy. The client needed to be coached. We worked with the client on one on one basis. During the coaching sessions the client was able to reflect on her current life, rethink her purpose and decide on her goals. She found her purpose through discovering her inner passion that has been neglected due to the busyness of life. She decided to establish her own social tourism business and launched her blog writing about the issues she cares about as a first step toward her big goal. When she went back to work after recovery, her colleagues commented that she was glowing more than ever. She was focused, determined and persistent to make her dream business get off the ground by end of January 2017. Her resilience and will power made her succeed. Quitting her job, moving to another country, completing her Yoga accreditation that she started before the accident, and making her dream a reality. We were with her through her journey of transformation.
